This financial services diploma qualifies you to provide financial product advice in accordance with the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) Regulatory Guide 146 (RG146) - formerly known as Policy Statement 146 (PS146).

You'll be qualified to work in the financial services industry and provide advice under an employer's Financial Services Licence.

The Diploma of Financial Services - Financial Markets Pathway is accredited as a vocational education qualification within the Australian Qualifications Framework, and is endorsed by the Financial Services Institute of Australia (Finsia), the leading professional body in the financial services industry.


Course Subjects

There are four subjects in this financial markets course: three compulsory and one elective.

  • The Finance and Investment Industry
  • Financial Markets Economics
  • Securities Derivatives and Managed Investment

And either:

  • Derivatives: Applying Theory to Practice

or

  • Analysing Financial Statements
