The Master of Applied Linguistics program will help you understand how language relates to commerce and government. You'll study:

• the concepts and tools of analysis used in linguistics and applied linguistics
• the functions and status of entire languages
• the issues surrounding second language acquisition
• language-internal issues, such as standardisation, education, business and the media

As a graduate you'll possess an in-depth knowledge of applied linguistics - knowledge that you can use in any of a variety of roles, including research, teaching, education, policy-making and business.
