HomeTAFE Courses and Vocational EducationTAFE Qualifications Explained
What a TAFE Course Can Do For YouThe TAFE system is the mostly widely recognised provider of career-based education in Australia. Courses are categorised in distinct levels, from the basic Certificate I up to Graduate Diplomas and Graduate Certificates. The course levels reflect the vocational outcomes a participant can expect to attain, rather than the length of the course or the cost. All TAFE qualifications are developed under the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF), a nationally agreed framework of quality assurance for education providers. |

TAFE certificates and diplomas can provide occupational and educational pre-requisites for further study. In many cases, Australian universities will also allow prior TAFE study to count as credit towards a degree course.
Many of SEEK Learning's TAFE courses have "articulation arrangements" with leading Australian universities, which provide course credit to TAFE students who successfully enrol in specific degree programmes. Contact a SEEK Learning consultant to learn more about articulation arrangements.
You can also enquire at individual universities for information about their Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) policies.
