Child Care Course Requirements
A Prohibited Employment Declaration must be signed by students in courses where contact will be made with children. SEEK Learning will provide you with this form when you enrol.
As part of the course assessment, you'll need to arrange work placement for a total of 100 hours. This placement will need to be pre-approved by OTEN.
You must also complete a Senior First Aid certificate in order to receive the Certificate III in Children's Services.

Please note that you will need to complete Apply First Aid (a Senior First Aid certificate) as part of this qualification. You may complete this through a TAFE NSW college, with the cost covered by your enrolment in this qualification. Alternatively, you can complete this through an agency recognised by WorkCover, such as St John Ambulance or Australian Red Cross, which will be at your own expense.
